Site Description

Located: Confin Coast- North of Coast Land Nunatak Bertrab. Sea of Weddell

Date of inauguration: 5th of February of 1979

Country: Argentina

This base is located in Nunatak Bertrab, in Confin Coast (Land of Coast), Sea of Weddell. She is one of the 6 Argentine bases that remain open all the year and is only accessible once a year (during the austral summer) thanks to the "Icebreakers Admiral Irizar". One of the characteristics of Belgrano is that it is one of the more important observation's for the study of the Ozone destruction during the austral spring.
