This city is the capital of the Land of the Fire, and it extends throughout the slope of Martial Mounts. The instruments of measurement are in the facilities of the "Austral Center of Scientific Researches" (CADIC) of Ushuaia. This Center was created the 9th of April of 1969 and belongs to the "National Council of Scientific Researches and Technical" (CONICET).
